Social networks are becoming fashionable nowdays, but many people still don't know how to get the full benefits from it or even what it can be used for.

Yuwie share revenue to its users, but just as any other social network, it can be monetized in many other ways  as well.

What is a social network and what's the use of it ?

Connection is everything in life, connected people are always the one who succeed, and they do because they receive help from their connections.A social network is an utility software that allows people to share, exchange, communicate, publish messages and pictures, but more importantly, it helps people to connect.Yuwie, but also FaceBook or MySpace are a new generation of websites called "Social networks". A very important thing that differentiate theses websites from others is that their users create the content, not their creator.

Of course, it's a great marketing opportunity : think that I am have a cruise ship and I want to promote my cruises. I create a profile, I browse for the cruise oriented clubs, and I post an article explaining how good this cruise is and how much it should be recommended to everyone. Targeted audience is the most effective thing in marketing, and it's for free !Luckily enough, social networks have rules, just like any society and the users have the power to moderate each other, which allow for a certain balance necessary to the survival of the whole society.That doesn't mean you are not allowed to advertise your product, it's even the opposite ! You are forced to turn your advertising in a useful, informative and friendly message that will be much more efficient than a basic spam attack.

Yuwie stands a bit on the side from other social networks, as it redistibute some of the gain to the users, so it actually pays you while still leaving you the opportunity to use it as a marketing tool ! What a great idea ! The first result of this is that some will rush to it and invest much more time than they would normally do, spending most of this time trying to figure out a way to attract as many users as possible to their profile. Some will end up losing time in stupid short term business strategies that won't work long (I'm in a race for a 100 pageviews, please help !) Some choose the long term way, observe, try, think of a good idea, make a business plan and stick to it. Do you know La Fontaine ? No ? You should check "The rabbit and the turtle", it's an old French story ;)Some will on the opposite turn away as soon as they see the big "make money" banner and all the spam marketing that's going on in Yuwie as it looks quite unwelcoming.

Of course, Yuwie is young and the users need to get some maturity, and I believe that will come in time. I believe also that quickly enough, the most interesting content will come up as the most seen and many users will change their attitude when it comes. In the meantime, it's the responsibility of everyone to help the others by pointing them to the right information when they need it, and to help make people understand the importance of this part. Yuwie look like my spam box today and this will have to change, or many will leave Yuwie and you will lose your referals !Browse and build your Yuwie for the fun ! As someone once said to me "Pick up a job you love to do, and you won't have to work for the rest of your life !", but don't forget that if you don't do it seriously, it will remain a small income and that's fine to be paid for having fun. On the other hand, if you want to do it seriously, don't be foolish enough to think you can accumulate enough page views to make serious money just by saying "hello, just dropping by to show som luv" to a 1000 people a day. You would be seriously wasting your time and the time of others.Sit back, try to think of a good idea, do it right, then promote it properly with a professional campain and it will work like a charm as Yuwie is young and good Yuwie sites are still rare.
