You think your referral are a bit slow to take off? Read this!

I don't know if you've seen this post about the reversed pyramid. One guy had about 1000 referrals on his level 1, and nearly none on his level 10, with most of theses referrals being sleepers, the guy made 5$ for all his efforts.

He made a major mistake, he didn't get his referrals to believe that Yuwie would work, because he was too busy (and too greedy) trying to make as many referrals as he could for himself.

Even if we was doing an excellent job in getting referrals on Yuwie, he failed and became inactive himself because the profit wasn't worth the efforts.

He forgot that they need a bit of motivation, one of the richest men on the planet (I think it's Rotshild) was saying something like "I became richer by making my partners richer".

You met five friends trough one person. Instead of inviting all five at once, invite the person you knew before, let him open the account and create an initial blog, then invite one or two of his five friends to sign up under his name, he will appreciate the gesture and will benefit from new referrals quickly, which will push him to do the same thing.

Your referrals are your partners, a very simple way to motivate them is to "sacrifice" a bit of your level 10 by giving your first levels active referrals a couple of your new referrals, this way they will start to see their tree grow faster, be more active on Yuwie, start to believe in it, and apply the method to their own downline, bringing you straight down to the highest rewarding level 10 and activating the whole line in the process.

Giving a sleepy referral to a novice user who will not be able to wake him up would probably drive to a worse effect.
I think it's important to couple the gift of a free referral with an initial "coaching" of this 2nd level newbie for the not-so-but-still-a-bit newbie of the 1st level, and you probably have to carry this to the 3rd level for it to really takes off.
What a coincidence, you have direct contact up to your 3rd level in your tree...How convenient :)

This concept can be applied to page views as well, and extended to your non-referrals friends of course. For example, you have a very big interest in creating links to other people's articles in your blogs. Theses people will appreciate the gesture, do the same in return and if they are your referrals, that's double page views for you!

A very good idea suggested by Jaime and Karl while discussing this concept in the club below. Would be to create a "Win a free referral" contest for your 1st-3rd level referrals. Every week, referrals publish a screenshot of their stats and the one with the more views (personnal views, not referral views) would get a free referral from you.

This concept was originaly developped by Karl, one of the coolest profile on Yuwie so far.

There is also a Yuwie club to discuss the under placing concept

I believe the contest thing is a good idea, but maybe it works for some people and not for others. Honestly I prefer just telling them, I am going to help you get referrals so you get started once they are ACTIVE (at least 1000 page views). If you lead them to basic referral techniques they will have at least one referral. ;) This is the motivational stage. Then if you get 3-4 sleeper referrals you can work double in coaching.
To get them active.
