Time runs fast and if it's probably better to spend 1/2h on Yuwie quickly answering and chatting with your friends, some of us want to maximize their Yuwie income and don't mind spending more time in the begining to get it to run at full speed as soon as possible.

If you are of this kind, then you want to optimize your efficiency by balancing the time you spend to increase your page views. 

From what I have seen so far, your Yuwie network is like a four legged chair, if one leg get to short, it falls off. To get the maximum efficiency in developping a -long lasting- network, it's good to spend about the same amount of time on each of theses four legs.

Here are the four main points where you should focus your attention to see if you didn't neglected one.

• 1/4 quality : spend time on your profile, customize your layout, write content, update your shoutbox, optimize the navigation between your pages.
  
• 1/4 socialize : welcome friends, answer messages, post on forums, filter and give back feedback about comments, create clubs, post notices, link to other friends, comment their blogs and pictures.
  
• 1/4 referrals : keep contact with people outside your network on mail, chat, blogs, other social networks but also when you go out, in bars, restaurants and so on, and tell them about your new hobby or just invite them to read your blog.
• 1/4 coaching : keep contact with your referrals, take them by the hand, help them build their profile, send them a cool layout, send them traffic, etc...

Some other strategies like mass friend adding or commenting may be more efficient in the short term, as they get you many views a day, but since you have to spend all your time doing this, as soon as you take a break, you rely entirely on your referrals. Chances are that newly introduced referrals tend to copy the behavior of their upliner, so this could lead to a lot of people getting bored, since it's a very repetitive thing to do.

On the other hand, if you pay attention in sharing your time between the different aspects, you will get both regulars and temporary readers, your number of regulars will increase steadily and so will your number of referrals.
